Frequently asked questions
How do I write a CV in Cameroon?
At the top: your name, your trade and a phone number that answers, with your neighbourhood and city. Then a two- or three-sentence profile, your jobs from most recent to oldest (informal work counts: say where, when and what you did), your education (CEP, BEPC, CQP, probatoire, baccalauréat…), your skills, your languages and one or two reachable references. Both examples above follow that order, and the free builder guides you section by section.
What CV format for a job application?
One A4 page, as a PDF: a PDF keeps its layout on any phone or printer, where a Word file shifts. Add a short application letter addressed to the employer. On WhatsApp, the link to your online CV saves you sending a file at all.
CV with or without a photo?
A photo is not required. It is common in Cameroon, especially for jobs dealing with customers or families: if you add one, pick a recent, front-facing photo on a plain background, dressed neatly. Without a photo, the templates show your initials, as in the Faro example above.
Is the CV really free?
Yes: creating and editing your CV, all 7 templates and the public link are free, with no watermark. With a listed worker profile, every CV and letter PDF is free, without limit.
