What gets you called: photo, pitch and verification in figures (Q4 2026)
By the SangoServices team4 min read
a profile with a photo and a pitch gets 11.3 number requests per 100 views, against 3.7 for a profile with neither; a verified ID: 14.2, against 5.3.
When an employer opens your profile, they decide within seconds whether to contact you. Over July 1 – September 30, 2026, we counted how many profile views ended with a request for the number, by what the profile showed.
Photo and pitch
| Profile | Workers | Views (n) | Numbers requested per 100 views |
|---|---|---|---|
| Photo and pitch | 330 | 1,863 | 11.3 |
| Photo only | 234 | 831 | 6.9 |
| Pitch only | 111 | 274 | 4.0 |
| Neither photo nor pitch | 329 | 1,039 | 3.7 |
With both, a profile gets 3.1 times more number requests per view than a profile with neither.
ID verification
| Profile | Workers | Views (n) | Numbers requested per 100 views |
|---|---|---|---|
| ID verified | 93 | 1,158 | 14.2 |
| ID not verified | 911 | 2,849 | 5.3 |
Profiles with a verified ID get 2.7 times more number requests per view.
What these figures prove, and what they do not
They show a gap, not a single cause: workers who take care of their profile may also be the ones who answer fast or have more experience. A profile is grouped by what it shows on the day of the calculation, and a view counts one person per profile per day, bots excluded. A rate is published only from 100 views.
What you can do today
- A clear photo of yourself, facing the camera, in daylight, no sunglasses.
- A two- or three-sentence pitch: what you do, for how long, where, and what sets you apart ("I have done full cleaning and ironing in Bonamoussadi for 4 years").
- Verify your ID in your account, if not done yet.
- Show a rate: employers compare; see the observed rates by trade.

Source and method
These figures are those of the Q4 2026 edition of the Informal Jobs Barometer (Q4 2026), computed on the SangoServices production database (test accounts and bots excluded, published 2026-10-01). Every figure states its n, the number of records it rests on; below the publication threshold, the cell reads "insufficient data". Data as CSV, reusable under CC BY 4.0: number requests by profile.
